Indisputable: Unknown Territories
The Indisputable: Unknown Territories campaign uses a customized skill list consisting of only six skills (akin to attributes or abilities in other popular roleplaying game systems).
A character’s score in acuity is a measure of his or her general level of awareness of his surroundings, his eye-to-hand coordination and skill with tasks that require a keen attention to detail. Tasks that are governed by acuity includes: picking a lock, hitting with a gun, detecting an ambush and detecting a subtle fluctuation in a radio transmission.
A character’s score in body is a measure of the character’s fitness, health and general physical status. Body determines your number of physical stress boxes. With a score of Average (1) you have two stress boxes, and each step above Average (1) grants one extra physical stress box. Tasks that are governed by body includes: breaking down a door, climbing a wall, jumping over a chasm and moving silently.
A character’s score in charm is a measure of his social savvy, his diplomatic skills and to some extent how well he or she is able to attract members of the opposite sex. Tasks that are governed by charm includes: cutting a better deal on merchandise, getting a witness to tell the tale, bluffing your way past a guard and deliver a speech to your last few soldiers to make them take a hopeless stand against the advancing Morane forces.
A character’s score in intellect is a measure of his or hers raw analytic ability. A character with a high intellect score is good at processing data, clues and other information and arrive at correct conclusions. Tasks governed by intellect includes; making scientific analysis, recalling specific details about a scene, writing a computer virus or plotting an efficient course through Tham space.
A character’s score in willpower determines his strength of character, moral fiber and resilience to stress and trauma. Willpower determines your number of mental stress boxes. With a score of Average (1) you have two stress boxes, and each step above Average (1) grants one extra mental stress box. Tasks that are governed by willpower includes: resisting torture, resisting mental control, keeping calm and efficient during a dramatic space ship crash and facing the horrors of the cosmos without flinching.
A character’s score in wits determines is speed of though and reaction. A character with a good score in wits is both able to crack a quick joke and get his gun out before anyone else if that jokes starts a dust-up. Wits rolls are used as for initiative in combat in the Indisputable campaign. Tasks that are governed by wits includes: cracking a smart-ass joke with good timing, dodging a bullet and flying a spaceship like a “leaf on the wind”.
